Margaret Howell

I am huge fan of Margaret Howell, and have been for a very long time. I am privileged enough to have styled her show for the last few years. For S/S11 the inspiration was very much the girl going to, being on, and leaving the beach, offering up crisp cotton cropped shirts, 50's bloomers and flirty 'roller skating dresses'. Neil Moodie and Sam Bryant did a tremendous job on hair and make-up, as always, working on enhancing the individual natural beauty of each girl as and when they arrived backstage.

Just when I thought I would be excited to be cosying in to my sheepskin jacket from the AW10 collection, all I seem to be dreaming of now is a cropped shirt, a straw hat and those amazing loafers..bring on the Spring.

Fashion, Diana Vickers and Me

We have had a great time developing Diana's style over the past year, and is amazing that everyone has been so supportive. There is far too many things that we have done to put them all on here, so below is a snippet for you all.

Mixing new and more established designers, Ive spent a lot of time researching to find great new talent who have gone under the radar, but well and truly deserve to be seen, such as Flett Bertram, Liam Stafford and Derek Lawlor.

We are learning a lot from each other, most importanly having fun doing it.....bless her cotton socks!

Liam Stafford - A sculptural genius

I absolutely love Liam Stafford's BA collection. Recently graduated from Kingtson, his collection. Inspired by subterranean landscapes, Liam created an array of figure hugging dresses, Utilising mohair, silk organza and a colour palette of blacks and slate greys,  with occasional stripes of bright canary yellow and mint green, inspired by shafts of light from miners' headlamps. The mixture of mohair and clusters of Swarovski crystals scattered across parts of the panelling on the sides or front of dressed and also on the top of shoulders catch the light beautifully making these dresses soft but sculptured all in one.

I loved it so much that we dressed the lovely Diana Vickers in this very look for Cheryl Cole's Promise Jewellery Launch at Nobu last night teamed with Camilla Skovgarrd's tassel boots and a Kipling clutch, and she looks fantanbulous.
