The Royal Ballet with Suzy Menkes

I was lucky enough to attend Cinderella at Covent Garden last night. Costumes full of sparkle and lace filled the stage, which was quite enough to make any girl quiver with Christmas excitement, plus what more could you ask for than to be sitting next to the fabulous fashion journalist Suzy Menkes.

Y.M.C

I rarely need an excuse to go shopping, but if I did, it would be to get this fantabuolous canvas bag with my purchase from Y.M.C (You Must Create) Not led by fashion trends, YMC, crafts stylish, functional and modern clothing for men and women. Need I say more.

Artistry Intensive Skincare Renewing Peel

The amazingly talented make up artist Ashley Ward became my fairy godmother last week whilst on a shoot, when the word dermabrasion fell out of my mouth in the most casual of ways. As if by magic, out came a shiny metallic bottle of Artistry's intensive skincare renewing peel. '8 minutes, twice a week will make all the difference', is all Ashley needed to say to convince me to try this before something more harsh on my truly sensitive skin.

The Artistry claim is that this new at-home peel is meant to exfoliate in a non-abrasive way, encouraging healthy skin to be more visible at the surface.  The exfoliating agent is a mushroom enzymethat works beneath the skin’s surface then neutralizes at a certain pH level.

Just 8 minutes, and my skin is fresh, and smoother than it was before I found this little treasure! Hurah, bring on the party season!

Nicola Roberts wearing La Petite Salope

Nicola had a Girls Aloud party to attend, and for this we chose this rich burgundy velvet asymmetric dress by La Petite Salope (www.netaporter.com) and the fantastic Lily leopard plum clutch by Mulberry and topped it all of with some great statement earrings from Erickson Beamon (www.ericksonbeamon.com)

Top Of The Pops!

The Lovely Laverne Is Back

Its been a while, but after a swift Maternity break for baby number two, Lauren is back and was shooting the promo for a new TV programme she is working on at the beginning of next year. Here she is in a fantastic red skater dress teamed with black classic court shoes. Cant give away much more about this as yet. Watch this space.

Shooting

I've been kept busy shooting for a certain retailer over the last few weeks, so the blog has felt a little un-loved. Yesterday we shot the wonderful Suvvi seen below, and have also have the pleasure of Karmen Kass's company as well. Great day at work!

Diana Vickers - Evening Standard Theatre Awards

Wearing Krystof Strozyna Spring Summer 11, Diana Vickers went for an elegant up do to match her perfect LBD.

Shooting

A day in the studio hard at it....

River Island

We've been super busy with Diana over the last month or so, and Friday was no exception to the rule. Not only was it her London Tour date at Koko, but also, an intimate acoustic session at River Island in Westfield.  For the River Island Session, we teamed a multi coloured Adam Entwistle jumpsuit, with a fantastic leather jacket by River Island and our faithful friends that are the Camilla Skovgaard shoe boots. Then a quick change en route to Camden, where Diana wore an electric blue mini dress by Felder Felder from there Spring Summer 11 collection.

Diana Vickers at Jamie Oliver's Big Night Out

Teamed with Bernard Chandran' 'wing' sandals and an Erickson Beamon cuff, Diana works this amazing Yong dress at Jamie Oliver's Big Night out to perfection. Looks like Glamour Magazine thinks so too. Bravo!

Kirsty Ward

Oooohh. Im in love. Kirsty Ward has been designing jewellery for a short period of time, but my oh my, she's not gone under the radar for long. I discovered her designs a while ago, and now she has started designing a clothing line as well.

She has just let me know(as I cant wait to own some of the things myself), that her designs are about to be stocked on www.youngbritishdesigners.com,  as well as at Charbon, Dada in Italy and shes even bagged a window display at Selfridges in the near future. Good girl!

Florence B

Devastated that you cant quite see this beautiful ring on Nicola at the Pride Of Britain Awards, here is an up close and personal picture of the amazing Florence B ring stocked at Wolf and badger on Ledbury Road.  London-based Florence leaves no stone unturned in her search to find antique Edwardian and Victorian jewellery, which she re-works into new, unique piece. We teamed with the nude colour William Tempest dress and Jimmy Choo crystal heels.

Pride Of Britain - Nicola Roberts

Nicola Roberts Ultimate Fashionista

Nicola Roberts was awarded Ultimate Fashionista by Cosmopolitan magazine, and after shooting her for the December Issue in Bebaroque teamed with one of my season favourite cuffs by Paul and Joe, we had the challenge of continuing her effortlessly cool way of wearing clothes to the awards themselves. We ended up going for an amazing green Bodyamr mini dress, layered with a dove grey chiffon long slip. We teamed this with bronze shoes by Bernard Chandran to finish off the look.

Fashion Editor/Fashion Stylist

This is a very small selection of some of my editorial work that I have styled in the last few years. I have been lucky enough to work with some great photographers such as Serge Leblon, Matt Irwin, Alisdair McLellan, Waren Du Preez and Nick Thornton Jones. I have styled for publications including V Magazine,  Harpers Bazaar, Big and Bon International, and I absolutely LOVE it!!

Diana Vickers wears Carly Njini

We have been busy with press and promo looks for Diana's new single My Wicked Heart. I fell in love with new designer Carly Njini's graduate collection, which Diana wore for the opening Britain's Next Model Live in London on Friday. Teamed with the Vickers gang favourites, Camilla Skovgaard.

AMAZING SHOP!

We came across the most amazing bits and bobs shop in Devon on Saturday(ooh to find more like this in London). In a small village on the out skirts of Exeter, we spent hours rummaging through boxes of head pieces, ties, plates, bunting and the odd wicker pig!

Diana Vickers X Factor

Sadly, I couldn't work on Diana's latest video My Wicked Heart, which means I also didn't style her for her X Factor performance, but we did have time to play with some amazing clothes for her Xtra Factor apperance where she wore Falguni and Shaune Peacock teamed with our favourite shoe designer of the moment, Camilla Skovgaard.

Bebaroque

I had the pleasure of meeting the lovely ladies who are Bebaroque. They gave me a preview of there new SS11 line. Bebaroque came on to the scene with amazingly embellished tights which have been donned on many a celebrity pin, but now the girls have spread there wings not only to bodies, but clothes as well. For SS11 they have mixed delicate nude tones in chiffon and mesh with embroidered florals. Playsuits out of silk organza in plum with gold beading, and a few jumpsuits to die for....

Nicola Roberts in Bora Aksu

I styled a shoot with Nicola Roberts a few weeks ago and after that she was off to Cheryl Coles ring launch. When rummaging through the rail we came across this Bora Aksu beauty that we thought would be perfect for the Nobu Cocktail Party setting. Look loved it too!

Diana Vickers Wears Hannah Marshall

Look Magazine have given us the thumbs up on the amazing purple conical jumpsuit by Hannah Marshall which was worn to the Ashish SS11 show. As you can imagine, that was just as colourful, but a tad more embellished!

Clothes or Cake

Ok, I love clothes, but once in a while I go slightly off piste. This normally occurs on a Saturday afternoon  when someone suggests tea and cake. What better way to finish the day then with these little beauts. Not only did they make me laugh, they gave me a red tounge too!Back to clothes on Monday. Promise x

Diana Vickers at Radio 1

After shooting yesterday, Diana went off to see Scott Mills at Radio 1. We teamed a kaki lace cropped t from H&M with a denim look plait front skirt from Tatanaka, and metallic lace up wedges from Carvela. Lovely.

Shoot day

We love hair, and we love make-up, but sometimes it can take rather along time to make the final tweaks to the most beautiful face, which means that me and my lovely styling team cant help go and have a bit of fun once the steamings done, and my first few favourite looks are hanging at the front of the rail ready and raring to go. My fabulous assistant George couldn't resist this stylish 19080's duo in the corner of the studio. God love her!

Chunky knits and fun bits...

We've been shooting for a new mag today, and the rail of clothes in front of your very eyes what most girls in our studio are now dreaming on owing for their ultimate A/W wardrobe. We've all been cooing over chunky knits in cappuccino colours,  which I styled with crisp white shirts and camel mini skirts. Thrown into the mix was the odd Antipodium chiffon print shirt or Tatanaka tassle dresses for good measure.... One girl was lucky enough to wear it all! Watch this space...xx

The New Minimalism

I always need a bit of convincing when it comes to wearing solid block of colour, but fear not, the instant conversion of mine has come in the form of the Jil Sander SS11 collection. I love the new wave of minimliast chic as seen in it's most perfect form here. Whilst white t-shirts have been mixed with evening wear before, the couture proportions of Raf Simons floor length skirts in emerald green, fluro orange and the purest of white some how made a classic t-shirt, look like the most desirable item for Spring.

TBA - To Be Adored

I've had a sneak preview of the drawings of SS11 t.b.a (To Be Adored) collection designed by Brighton based Bin Bin McNiven', and I have to say, I can not wait to start shooting it.

t.b.a provides modern, feminine, and dare I say, kooky all in one, and the difference to other 'uber cool' labels is the attention to detail, as well as the mixture of contrasting fabric in one garment. As well t.b.a desirable, it is a hugely affordable label (love those words in the same sentence), stocked at Urban Outfitters and Asos, t.b.a has already provided us with the oh so adorable high waisted gold leather shorts, silk mushroom printed jacket, and the pom pom dress below.

TBA are doing a Christmas drop for all you fans which consists of a genius nude chiffon and Burgundy velvet play suit combo. if you just cant wait for the new SS11 collection. What a great excuse for buying a new Christmas ensemble.

So very chic

Thank goodness its Friday!

Margaret Howell

I am huge fan of Margaret Howell, and have been for a very long time. I am privileged enough to have styled her show for the last few years. For S/S11 the inspiration was very much the girl going to, being on, and leaving the beach, offering up crisp cotton cropped shirts, 50's bloomers and flirty 'roller skating dresses'. Neil Moodie and Sam Bryant did a tremendous job on hair and make-up, as always, working on enhancing the individual natural beauty of each girl as and when they arrived backstage.

Just when I thought I would be excited to be cosying in to my sheepskin jacket from the AW10 collection, all I seem to be dreaming of now is a cropped shirt, a straw hat and those amazing loafers..bring on the Spring.

Fashion, Diana Vickers and Me

We have had a great time developing Diana's style over the past year, and is amazing that everyone has been so supportive. There is far too many things that we have done to put them all on here, so below is a snippet for you all.

Mixing new and more established designers, Ive spent a lot of time researching to find great new talent who have gone under the radar, but well and truly deserve to be seen, such as Flett Bertram, Liam Stafford and Derek Lawlor.

We are learning a lot from each other, most importanly having fun doing it.....bless her cotton socks!
